NFL Stock Watch: Terry McLaurin, Commanders

This Week: Doesn't Suck

NFL Stock Watch: Terry McLaurin, Commanders

By BoardWalk Barker Sports Desk

Last week, Terry McLaurin was officially finished.

Fans across Delmarva (and all six Commanders fans nationwide) agreed the man had lost a step, lost his heart, and possibly lost his hamstring somewhere back in Week 4. “He got his money and he’s coasting,” said literally everyone on social media, whose medical expertise comes from Madden Franchise Mode and vibes.

Then, this week, word leaked that McLaurin was “questionable but expected to play,” and—miraculously—he’s back to being a beloved, selfless team leader and “a guy you want in your locker room.” His fantasy stock has rocketed back to “Sure, why not?” status, and his jersey sales are briefly back above those of the backup long snapper.

If he actually plays well on Sunday, the narrative will fully reset to “Terry Time is Back, Baby!”

If he tweaks something on the first drive, expect “He robbed us blind” by halftime.

In summary:

Last week: Washed, overpaid, possibly faking it.

This week: Inspirational, underrated, salt-of-the-earth warrior.

Next week: TBD, but probably trash again.

Stock rating: Up (until kickoff).
