She and Barbara Bush are the only two women who both were both married to a U.S. president and the mother of a U.S. president. The Niece of President Andrew Jackson was thrust into the role after the death of Jackson's wife (#56). For an unsophisticated lady, she adapted well, dressed wonderfully, and was pretty sexy for her day.
